Horseback Riding

With fall's stunning colours, this is a great time of year for a trail riding adventure.

My plan was to check out (and be able to highly recommend) the most talked about stable: Double J Ranch. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this stable, but I still highly recommend horseback riding in fall!!!

Double J Ranch experience:

- Our instructor hit the horse in the face repeatedly. The horses seemed afraid of him. (Head shy and spooking.) Our group was shocked at this.

- No helmets available even when we asked. Shabby looking equipment and facilities.

Overall, we enjoyed riding but would try a different stable next time. My advice is to pay the extra $5 for better treated horses and higher safety standards. Other stables: Montreal Horseback Riding
